CSI Newsletter # 1 (United States)
CSI – Comprehension Strategies Instruction is an evidence-based literacy program that targets comprehension with support for vocabulary and fluency – the greatest needs in Grades 3 and above. CSI supports teachers and students to interact, give and receive feedback about their learning (metacognition), and read widely across the content areas of English language arts, science, math, and social studies.
Each CSI kit contains 40 engaging whole-group digital texts for use on interactive or standard whiteboards, and 40 audio texts to accompany the cooperative learning activities for students.

Digital Enhancements for CSI 6, 7, and 8
Those using CSI kits 6, 7, or 8 will receive brand new interactive disks in April, to replace their originals.
CSI 6 was the first kit to be developed, back in October 2007, with CSI 7 and 8 following in February 2008. During the development of CSI 3, 4, and 5 some important features were added to the interactive disks: academic vocabulary, picture glossaries, and video/audio content.

The CSI development team is currently bringing the earlier disks up to speed. These will be available to existing CSI 6, 7, and 8 users in the United States and around the world in April. Check our website blogs for further updates.
