According to their teacher, students at Miramar South have shown gains in comprehension that "these children aren't meant to make."

Every CSI lesson begins with students skimming and scanning before going on to do a close reading.

Using the digital tools such as the mask, zoom and highlighter makes it easy to have students focus on particular parts of the text.

This teacher has found a way to make learning new vocabulary a fun and engaging experience.

The inclusion of audio and video within CSI texts gives students an extra interest in the text and  further scaffolds their comprehension of it.

After the whole-class lesson, students work cooperatively to reinforce their learning by applying the same comprehension strategy to a new piece of text.
