Lessons and texts cover English Language Arts (introductory, fiction and nonfiction), Math Content Literacy, Social Studies Content Literacy, Science Content Literacy, and include hard copy glossaries with academic vocabulary. |

| Interactive CD-ROMs featuring all whole-group texts in digital format Digital texts include video and audio content, and pop-up hypertext glossaries. Texts are for projection onto interactive or standard whiteboards. Texts are presented in an easy-to-use and innovative software program unique to CSI. |

| Cooperative Learning Activities for Student Books These books provide an opportunity for students, working in pairs or small groups, to apply comprehension strategies learned in previous whole-group lessons. Each text is supported with a fluent audio recorded reading model and hardcopy glossaries. In Grades 3 to 5, blank transparencies and marker pens are also included to allow students to respond to texts by annotating and making notes over each page. |

| Student Reflection Journals (consumable) Reflection journals enable students to record and reflect on their comprehension strategy use across all content areas. Independent reflection can be achieved in or out of class. |
